Hello volunteers!
My name is Rute, I'm from Portugal and I'm 28 years old. I'm on the tic tac mood to go to Tallin and very excited with this new experience in life. I'll be volunteering in Noor, in three different areas: communication, social work and teaching.
I've been working the last four years as a press journalist, so, connections to people, a pen and a paper are enough to be happy :) I'm also obsessed (in the best sense of the word) about music, travelling, photography and cinema.
And yes, it's true: I'm leaving the most sunny and lightning city in Europe - Lisbon - to a "foggy" and cold surrounding. But I sincerely hope to find lightness in volunteering service, in Estonian natural beauty and in all of you.
Let's enjoy each other. See you soon.

Tervist, Hello Dear Volunteers!
My name is András, I’m from Hungary and I’m 26.
I’ll be a volunteer in Elva Väikelastekodu, not far from Tartu. In the
Orphanage of Elva there are both disabled and healthy children, I’ll have
different activities with them. But I’m a little bit scared of the afternoons
of Thursday, because I’ll have homework school with the older children and my
math knowledge is not the best. :-)
In the last summers I worked as children
animator in Tunisia and in Greece, three years ago I got a scholarship and I
lived in Tartu for 4 months, so I have experience working with children and I already
know the Estonian winter. It’s cold and beautiful in the same time. In a few
weeks you will meet this lovely cold weather. :-)
See you soon!
András
Hi everybody,
My name is Zsuzsa, I am 24 and from Hungary. I will work at JUKS Tugikeskus in Tallinn with mentally and phisically disabled people. So far I have participated in many social and environmental related projects, but this will be quite a new experience for me, so I'm very excited! I'm fond of films (and so lead a filmclub) and music as well, and it would be nice to find somebody who also bring an instrument and make some music! :) I play on congas, but will bring only my bongos, but no worries, it's still enough loud! :)) Oh, and another aim for this 9 months is to find out why Hungarian and Estonian are in the same language group. :)
Take care until we meet and have a nice flight!

Hello!
I'm Wojtek from Poland, I'm 24, I'll be a volunteer in Maidla Noortekeskus.
About me I don't want to write much cause we're going to meet soon in one, very green, well know to all of us country in the west of Europe. Till that time, if you want - go to :http://www.myspace.com/564462156 where you can find part of me.
One thing only: if you have one particular document "Welcome to Estonia_201213" you'll find there some false information about me. I'll use the opportunity of this blog to clear up this before we meet:
I'm not yet in Estonia, waiting there for you but as same as you I'll come the next days. So I'm not keeping everybody healthy and sporty there (yet), and I'm not a girl :) quite amusing, isn't it?
This is of course only a bagatelle, but let's stay true, alright.
So, can't wait to see you all very soon!
Serdeczne pozdrowienia!

Hi everyone ;)
I'm Cédric I'm 22 from France. As I came once to Estonia I wanted to go back there and now I'm going to work in Uulu's culture and sport centre. Uulu is close to Pärnu where I will be living.
I like music ( mostly electro pop ) sports ( like handball ) watching movies, cinema and spend time with my friend.
Until now I was working as a cashier ... nothing really exciting but its a nice experience. I'm really happy to stop it now and do something new and much interesting.
I don't know what more I can say here but we all be soon in Tallinn where we can all discuss much more.

So...
Hello
Everyone,
I’m writing
this post with both with a bit of smooth excite and impatient sorrow. I will
join you all a little bit later than it was planned due to visa issues. I will
try to follow the Schedule from far but with a careful attention.
My name is Yusuf
and I’m from İstanbul, Turkey. I’m 24. I have studied Cinema in the fine arts
university and for long while now I have worked both in the movie making field
and film festivals. I am also one of the creators of international culture
project located in İstanbul called KATADROM. I will do my voluntary service in the
organization KINOBUSS. The activities of the project will be again connected to
movie education, activities and opportunities. I must admit that I’m looking
forward to start this period of new experiences, responsibilities, hard working
and of course some fun.
I believe
that my time in Estonia will be quite a unique experience. As it’s already mentioned,
I also have been asked through my friends about Why Estonia. First of all,
before I decided to Estonia I have made my choice with Kinobuss. A very
precious and elegant project that I have found on internet by chance. Than for
sure I thought of how it’s probably going to be in Tallinn and I told myself
after living in a c,ty with 18 million inhabitants for all my life, yes, it’s
going to be peacefull and very much productive indeed.
I can’t
wait to meet you all. And of course with dear Kai who worked really hard with
all those problems I’m having here to come over there and join my project.
I hope you
all will have a perfect beginning.
Best
Regards.
Yusuf BAHAR
Olá!
My name is Tânia, I am 24 years old and I am from Portugal . I will be working as a volunteer in JUKS, an organisation that works with youths with disabilities, in Tallinn for a period of 9 months.
I recently finished my degree in social work and I believe that this will be a great opportunity to develop my professional and personal skills and to be able to help other as well, especially learning with them.
This is not my first experience abroad; I lived in Romania and in Czech Republic before, where I had the opportunity to work with young people at risk of social exclusion. I was a peer mentor and helped to prepare free time activities for the young people.
I am looking forward to meet you all and be able to learn with you and hopefully also allow you to have the opportunity to learn a bit more about my country and culture.
See you soon….
Tânia
Hey guys,
my name is Christin, I am from Germany and 19 years old. As
I have worked for our Child Protection Agency the last 2 years as volunteer and
just finished High School this summer, I decided to take a gap year and
continue my work with a „full time“ voluntary service.
In Estonia, I will spend 9 months directly in Tallinn where
I will work in the Käo Day Care Centre for adults. Why did I chose Estonia? I
guess because I wanted to go somewhere else than the typical „gap year“
countries like Spain or the UK. I bet you all know that people ask why in hell
you wanted to go to Estonia ;).
So, I am quite excited to meet you all in Tallinn in just a
bit more than 1(!) week. Let’s make the best of our time during the EVS!
Best whishes,
Christin

seeds in action
Hey there!
I'm Varduhi from Armenia, Yerevan. I'll be volunteering at Muumipere Kindergarten for 9 months for what I'm very happy.
A few words about myself: I'm a Philologist, I've worked at the Linguistic University as an English teacher, and I've also worked, and still I'm a member of an NGO that works with children from vulnerable families and from orphanages providing them with non-formal education, organizing different events (sport events, excursions, art-craft exhibitions, and suchlike) with children.
I hope my participation in this project will be of great help, and I'll contribute to the work of the kindergarten.
I'm sure we will make good friends together with other volunteers. So looking forward to meeting you all there, in Estonia.
Warm greetings,
Varduhi

welcome Seeds in Action
...15 seeds are planted on the 7th of September 2012 to Estonian fertile soil. let's make our best that during the 9 months that these seeds (you guys) will not only rock Estonian soil, but The Whole World:)
even though each of you will be doing their separate EVS service, we still meet altogether for 4 times during the 9 months, to have noOR meetings. additionally to you service, you will start some local projects to make bigger impact and have even more fun then you planned in the beginning, and these actions are also taken into life with the support of noOR.
this blog is a space for us too keep in contact during the 9 months, share ideas/music/movies/plans, etc. so feel free to get used to it.
for the start up: Let's Meet!
i am kai, been active in noOR for 3 years, employee for 1. noOR is coordinating organization which means we mainly help other organizations that want to host EVS volunteers to make it happen. we also initiate local project with the aim of including more youth living with disabilities into youth project.
we are happy to be around you and assist in any way we can.
looking forward to meet you all here!
